Anonymous usage analytics. To understand which decks and features work, the app sends anonymous usage events (for example: a deck was started, a round was finished, a purchase screen was shown) to PostHog, our analytics provider. These events carry a random identifier generated on your device — not your name, email, phone number, or anything that identifies you.
We deliberately turn off everything invasive:
Purchase information. Payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases: it receives Apple’s purchase receipt and the same anonymous device identifier, so the app knows what you’ve unlocked. Nothing there is linked to your identity.
Install attribution. On first launch the app asks Apple’s on-device AdServices API whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads ad. Apple returns only aggregate campaign context (such as a keyword); this involves no tracking across apps or websites.
Some game moments let your group take photos (“evidence”). These photos:
Deleting the app deletes them.
If you share a recap from the app, the share image is composed on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet — where it goes is entirely your choice. Share links include a campaign tag so Apple’s aggregate App Store analytics can count how many people found the app through a shared link; the tag contains nothing about you or the person you shared with.
Analytics events are anonymous at the point of collection and are kept only as aggregate product statistics. Photos live on your device under your control. The game itself works fully offline — and because events are anonymous, there is nothing collected that could ever be traced back to you.
The app is rated 18+ on the App Store and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. We will never quietly weaken the promises above; the headline commitments (no accounts, no tracking, photos on-device) are the product’s design, not a settings choice.
